Last week, we have tested both circuit but unfortunately it doesn't work well which are, lots of noises produced and LED of transmitter unit (to show power) doesn't show up. We proceed to the troubleshooting process to detect the reason behind these problems. We realized that the soldering is not very neat and the soldering iron we used is less of flux (cheap product). We did some research on flux, if soldering iron isn't shiny, it's a sign that it's been re-flowed without using flux, and probably has internal oxidation.
Problems detected:
- Capacitor: At first, we tried to reduce the number of capacitor in both circuit. However, it doesn't work (produce lots of noise). Then we add another two 100uF capacitor the stabilize the the sound and reduce the noises.
- Photodiode BP 104: Soldered with inverted polarity.
It was so lucky because we detected the problems. So, fix it!
